I love that you shared D&C 81:5. “succor the weak, lift up the hands which hang down, and strengthen the feeble knees”.

I have pondered on the word succor.
From Webster’s 1828 dictionary, the word succor means, “Literally, to run to, or run to support; hence, to help or relieve when in difficulty, want or distress; to assist and deliver from suffering.”
This gives us a sense of the urgency which the word implies. It’s not merely to reach out and comfort someone, but as soon as we see a need, we run to and meet that need.
The Savior succors us and is a refuge for us and I am so grateful for this truth. I have begun to realize that because He is the ultimate example, I am also to succor the weak and needy now. not tomorrow, not next year, but now. There is no time better than the present.
