This article expresses how I have felt this year. My child is in kindergarten and when she comes home with 14 pages of homework a week plus reading I am frustrated. She stayed up till 10:30pm one night finishing it so she could turn it in the next day. Only to be told she didn't cut and paste a little section. It creates unnessasary stress on our relationship and family time. I feel that if the teacher used her school time to just color and draw then don't send home the real school work that teaches her something for me to do with her. If my child couldn't finish her work at school then please send it home and we will finish it but if the teacher is sending home busy work that controls my quality family then I don't appreciate it. Especially when they had the time at school to do it but did a dot to dot page instead.
