This is a very excellent post, much better than some of what I've seen out there. It's full of upbeat, positive reinforcement of an upbeat, positive direction in life. I love it!

It's too easy to look outside ourselves and say that the problem is "out there." That just leads to a victim mentality in which we become disempowered to act for ourselves and become everything God wants us to become. True, marrieds can and should do more to help singles, but that logic goes both ways. Zion is a place where everyone helps everyone, and so we should live lives of example by supporting the marrieds who we want to support us. Ashley here provides some great options, though they are by no means the only ones. One of the great beauties of the gospel is that when we truly support one another, we achieve a unity that is great to witness and even greater to feel. And that unity can be the foundation of greater things to come for all of us.
