Hi Jill! I didn't write the article, but I think I can provide some insight. As Christians we know what we think the Savior looked like. But those days were before hair products, shaving equipment, and Facebook. It's likely that people identified the Savior and His Apostles as a group, but an individual would have been difficult to pick out. That's why they sought out an insider so they could guarantee the Intel was good. In our day everyone has an individual look, but back then I'm sure it was harder to tell people apart unless you really knew them well.

I loved this article but can not find anywhere or how he betrayed Christ besides the kiss and feeling in his heart. Couldn't any member of the Sanhedrin have identified him to the Roman Soldiers?

The study on the biography of Judas Iscariot particularly his betrayal act has been outlined as the most controversial arguments over last the centuries. Some view him as a prophecy fulfiller yet others view his betrayal act as an egregious one. Ultimately it the God who know what kind of person he was and what kind of judgment his action deserved.

Going through the gospels, I felt that apostle Judas Iscariot was server of money rather than server of God (Matthew 6:24). He opted for love of money which was indeed a root of all evils (1 Timothy 6:10) which ultimately became trap and took his life (1 Timothy 6:9).

After studying the unprecedented and twisted fate as in the case of Judas's biography, I could learn a valuable lesson to lead a godly life free from love of money (Hebrews 13:5).
