To believe we are the offspring of deity gives us purpose and meaning in this life. If Satan can get us to disbelieve we have any connection with God in any kind of meaningful way, he strips us of our heritage and our purpose for being here on earth. He doesn’t want us to believe God is our Father. If we believe then we tend to obey, and that doesn’t play into his hatred for God and us at all.
