We cannot control others free agency, and many times trials are a result of choices that fall on us because of the free agency of those around us. It is very hard for me to believe for example, that a Mother in Africa, who cannot nourish or clothe her child as she sits and watches him suffer, is supposed to be learning something that she hasn’t learned in life yet. I just can’t wrap my head around that. I do believe that we can learn from some trials, but I have also come to believe that sometimes life just throws you things..because that’s life…..not because a person hasn’t learned everything they need to learn in their own life.
