What a beautiful comment! Thanks for sharing related things you've pondered in your scripture study! I love seeing how thinks link so perfectly together. I appreciate your testifying of the Savior's atonement. I stand in awe and wonder at not only His ability but His willingness to save us.

I love this line from this post, "Physical burdens can teach empathy and discipleship." I have been learning a lot about the atonement of Jesus Christ lately, and I have been reading in the book of Hebrews. I love how in the later chapters of Hebrews Paul writes and teaches of Christ's great sacrifice. We even learn about Christ's being the "mediator of the new covenant". He did so much for us. I love the examples you mentioned of individuals that were taught through His example and the changes they saw. I am so grateful for the atoning blood of Jesus that offers me a chance to be forgiven of my shortcomings and weaknesses.
I am also reminded of Elder Bednar's talk where he talks about the redeeming power of the atonement of Jesus Christ as well as the enabling power. This sacrifice that Christ made on our behalf was the great and last sacrifice. It did away with all the yearly sin sacrifices that were required under Mosaic Law and He was able to redeem them that they may be forgiven, and He enabled them that they, His children, would have the power to change to come unto Him. I am very grateful for Jesus Christ and all that He did. And, I really appreciated reading your blog post!
