So glad you were able to have more children, both through adoption and naturally. God truly is so mindful of all His children.

My wife was a type one diabetic. She also wanted children and all four of her pregnancies were difficult (12 to 14 weeks of hospitalization). Our first was a girl, after 13 weeks in the hospital. The second resulted in a miscarriage. This happened in late November. After which came the miracle.

Between Christmas and New Years we started discussing adoption so that our daughter would not be an only child. We applied to adopt through a government agency and the 3rd of January and were approved by the 20th. On the 31st of March we were notified to come and pick up our son to be.

The phone call was what would have been the 40th week of my wife's pregnancy. God works in wondrous ways.

We did have 2 more boys the "old fashioned way".

About 10 days ago I wish I'd had that article. I was trying to explain to someone why I was against abortion. You put it very succinctly. I'm sure it wouldn't have helped, however, because people have just closed their hearts to the fact that a fetus is a life. They believe what is easiest and most convenient for them. Satan is very hard at work.
