In reply to <a href="https://ldsblogs.com/45657/health-journey-pt-1#comment-609230">Diane Ruggles</a>.

Diane,
I am so sorry that Jack went through all of that. His poor body! Lyme disease is no joke. Damage to the heart is irreversible!

Sadly, often medications are the doctors answers when they cant figure things out. However surely there must be something he isn't allergic to? That has to be tough.

In my opinion we should try every approach to a problem. What works for one doesnt work for all. God didnt create cookie cutter children. He made us all unique.

Doctors arent God and they dont have perfect wisdom. For the most part I believe they are trying.

As Pres Nelson said, without revelation we will not survive. I believe that to be true in every aspect of our lives.

Many prayers to both you and Jack. I am sure the Lord will use his experience to do good.

I am so sorry yall went through this! Do you have any advice for others who feel like they arent being heard? What worked and didnt work when trying to press doctors to listen?

Dear Ashley, So very sorry you went through this. But I am very happy you could see the Lord's hand in your terrible situation. I'm thrilled you shared this. Jack went undiagnosed with Lyme disease for two years because the Doctor (department head) said there was no Lyme disease in Pennsylvania at that time and that Jack had chronic fatigue syndrome. Go home and learn to live with it!!! Finally we found someone who told us what test to ask for that was more accurate. Which it confirmed his having Lyme disease. But by that time damage to the heart and body had taken hold!! (2 years!!!) He was treated for 18 months with antibiotics. But has issues. Even now we have problems with Doctors not recognizing what has taken place and want to shove medications on him that he is REACTIVE to!! I have a really hard time not being angry and discusted with their attitudes and their approach. Many years we do natural remedies and a healthy approach. Chiropractic, acupuncture and other Helpful Healthy means....The Doctor's tell us this is Quackery. I say...Who's the Quack????
