					<description><![CDATA[I heard one of the BYU scholars throw a little different slant on the &#039;weak&#039; Peter.   He said that perhaps  instead of telling Peter what he would do in a moment of weaknes, he was telling him TO denounce.  The Lord needed Peter&#039;s life to be spared to lead the church after He was crucified.  Had Peter not denied his knowing of Jesus, he very likely would have been killed as well.  Just food for thought.  Peter was daring in the garden and cut off one of the men&#039;s ears in defense...it doesn&#039;t seem to me that Peter was weak then - or thereafter.  Perhaps his sorrow was not realizing he made a mistake but that he had to do it to bitter sorrow.]]></description>
