The place Abby got the original facts was from an article in the Salt Lake Tribune. But the link won't work. So I found this one from 2016, saying Utah has twice the national rate. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/benjamin-knoll/is-the-recent-rise-in-uta_b_10798286.html And this article from the Tribune shows that rates have risen 46% since 1999. https://www.sltrib.com/news/2018/06/07/suicide-rates-rise-sharply-in-utah-and-across-the-country-new-report-shows/ And the Utah coalition on preventing suicide talks about how suicide is the number 1 killer in Utah currently. https://www.sprc.org/sites/default/files/UT_State%20Suicide%20Prevention%20Plan_2021.pdf

Thank you for your article. I wondered if you could share your source for the statistics that you shared about Utah having three times the national average for suicides. Is that possible? Thank you!
