In reply to <a href="https://ldsblogs.com/44951/challenges-accepted#comment-610673">Aaron Thomas</a>.

Aaron,

Thanks for reaching out. I appreciate your kindness.

I felt prompted to share my story with the hope that we can break down some cultural walls we have in regard to repentance and help others come back to the fold.

I also hope to help those who have remained in the path learn how to minister.

You are on such a great and important path. General Conference and the Book of Mormon became so important to me on this journey as I returned. I hope they become that for you as well. Seek deep to understand the doctrine of Christ.

Reach out if you ever need support through this. Take care dear friend!

Hi Rory, I just wanted to thank you for opening up about your experience being excommunicated. I was recently disfellowshipped and I have found so much strength and inspiration in your words. I like how you rely on doctrine and scriptures to convey the Lords message that repentance is real, required and beautiful. I heard you on an LDS Living podcast and your story resonates so clearly with me. Thanks for having the strength to follow the spirit and share your story.
