A question. When was the last Internet video you watched? My guess is you responded today or possibly yesterday. I asked my 88-year-old mother the same question. She said, “Five minutes ago.”

The point? Videos are becoming prolific, ubiquitous, and powerful. And the Church websites are taking advantage of this craze, as well.

It wasn’t that long ago that the Internet didn’t even exist. And for the first few little while, it was pretty simple. The year we started using the Internet in business for me was 1990. According to Google, the first video viewed over the Internet happened in 1993.

It was twelve years later in 2005 that the “YouTube.com” domain name was activated and later that year the first video upload options were integrated. Documentaries on the YouTube phenomenon are also available…you guessed it…on YouTube.

With millions of these videos available, and with peoples ability to share their feelings by “liking” them, the favorites rise to the top. But there are so many videos now–everywhere–you may feel it is hard to choose a favorite. Perhaps, but the following videos are definitely on my list:

https://youtu.be/BZqTRSVA1YA – He Lives 6M

Add to that dozens of websites, general conference meetings and addresses since 1976, and professional and scholastic websites series and pages. The Church has thousands of videos, and that is only the beginning. It recently announced a series of 180 more Book of Mormon videos expected to be available in 2018.

So these are a few of my favorites…there are many others I watch frequently to give myself a boost in life. You can watch them. you can make them, or you can re-post them. Whatever you do, be sure to influence yourself and the world for good.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video is worth a million. So post your favorites in the comments below, and let’s take this medium to a billion.

This is only the beginning.
